Abstract The recent correspondence article by Chiapperino and Paneni in Clinical Epigenetics correctly points to the inability of epigenetics incorporate fine-grained mapping data individual’s surrounding milieu. authors underline similar shortcomings genomics. I argue that tight link between DNA sequence epigenetic marks is likely reproduce those studies. Moreover, biosocial epigenetics, if ever fully accomplished, would inevitably unmask genetics-based phenomena. latter be highly controversial from viewpoint dominant identity politics social constructivism.
